Should You Worry About Concussion In Children?

Head injuries are already common, especially among young children, especially when they participate in a lot of physical contact sports. However, it is difficult to see the concussion in teenagers, because teenagers are likely to have signs and symptoms such as confusion or smoke like emotions. Dizziness, convulsions and loss of consciousness may occur in young children. Any head injury to an older young person can cause permanent injury or loss of life. Of course, the negative effects of long-term health are not fully understood. Nevertheless, people believe that patients with concussion are more likely to suffer from Alzheimer’s disease or even dementia in the future. Many health experts point out that this may increase the incidence rate of depression. Children with concussion often lose their desire for food. They may also be exhausted or challenged to concentrate. Children are also easy to get angry, and will break out whenever everything goes wrong.

Mild concussion is usually only observed in children who participate in sports and physical contact activities. Players who experience mild concussion can still go to the football field or play tennis in the gym. But when young people suffer from severe head injuries, they may no longer remember simple tasks such as going to the refrigerator or opening the door. Some people also have sleep disorders and may have difficulty waking up. Many adults also suffer from minor head injuries and concussions, such as being hit by vehicles across the road or in the office. Adults with mild concussion may not be aware of any signs and symptoms such as headache or nausea. However, people with severe concussion may experience severe headache, blurred vision, memory loss and temporary blindness.

If you have a concussion and have questions or concerns, please contact your doctor immediately and make suggestions on what measures to consider and what medical help to receive. You will find that you need to be tested for more serious situations, such as traumatic brain injury. Your doctor will receive CAT imaging, magnetic resonance imaging, or even an expert examination to confirm that there is no additional brain damage. These damages may not be found during the first inspection. Generally speaking, concussion is relatively rare in sports, but if there is any doubt about sports injury, do not ignore it. Symptoms usually disappear within 24 hours. The earlier athletes receive medical treatment, the greater the chance of recovery.
